Specializing in caring for those with Alzheimer’s  and other dementias, the site has links with details on what to expect for each disease stage.

Caregiver Action Network (CAN) ( http://www.caregiveraction.org )
CAN offers  practical lists for immediate help with caregiving; patient file checklist, doctors’ office checklist, how to find a support group, medication checklist, independent living assessment and helpful videos.

Eldercare is a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging connecting you to services for older adults and their families.

The HELPLine Center’s mission is to make lives better by giving support, offering hope and creating connections all day, every day by referring phone inquirers throughout much of South Dakota to services within the region from which they are calling.  The Center fulfills its mission through by offering referrals in the following core service areas:  211 Community Resources, Volunteer Services, Child Care Resources, Suicide and Crisis Support, and Military and Family Support.

National Long-Term Care Clearinghouse is run by the Administration on Aging.  It answers questions about the nature of long-term care, who needs it, how much it costs (with state-by-state breakdown), how it can be paid for, who provides care within long-term care facilities, details on Medicare and Medicaid coverage of long-term care, level legal help for LGBT elders considering long-term care.

VA Caregiver Support is run by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, provides support and services for family caregivers of veterans.
